Bowling Tips And Techniques In Approaching The Line

Releasing the bowling ball is not just as simple as taking so and so steps towards the lane and then throwing the ball. Proper timing, synchronization and stance are important in hitting a good frame or even getting a strike. The feet’s movement should always be coordinated with the hand and arm all through out the swing. Being consistent is also important in giving a good throw.

If you have noticed, there are two rows of dots on the floor before you approach the lane itself. The first row of dots signifies that you are twelve feet away from the foul line. The next row says that you are fifteen feet away from the foul line. You should make sure that you do not step on or cross the foul line as you execute your swing. The height where you hold your ball before you take the first step also says something about the kind of bowler that you are. Faster bowlers hold their ball lower than the slower bowlers. Most bowlers hold their ball in the middle line between the waist and the chest.

Most bowling tips and techniques would say that keeping your balance is an important part of your form. Keeping your wrist firm and straight also helps a lot throwing a good ball. It is essential that you have the correct stance before taking your first step in approaching the lane. You grip the ball with your bowling hand and use the other for supporting the ball.

Good timing means that you do not throw too early nor too late. If the ball reached the foul line before your foot, it means that your timing is too early. If your swing is behind your foot, then your timing is too late.
